Works in Museum Collections
Gregory Christeas’ work belongs to a life shaped by art, memory, resistance, and history.
Selected works are represented in Greek museum collections, including:
Historical Archives–Museum of Hydra
Apeiranthos Museum of Naxos
During the Cultural Olympiad Athens 2004, Christeas was honored for his role in the resistance against the Greek dictatorship. His solo exhibition of 125 works at the former Hellenikon Airport marked a powerful recognition of both his artistic life and his historic contribution to freedom.
Before Gregory Christeas became known for his abstract paintings, he was part of the resistance against the 1967 Greek dictatorship. His life as an artist cannot be separated from that history.
The same force that shaped his fight for freedom also shaped his painting: movement, pressure, memory, light, and emotional truth. His work carries the mark of lived experience rather than decoration.
From Museum Recognition to Private Collections
Alongside museum recognition, Christeas’ paintings are held in private collections and homes around the world.
Available original works may be purchased directly from the artist. Each painting is signed and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
