I’ve always been captivated by the world of writers and poets. Their words transcend the confines of book covers, carrying readers on an immersive journey from the first page to the last. They invite us to participate in their stories, to delve deep into the narrative.
In contrast, a painting can sometimes feel like the cover of a book—a surface waiting to be explored. Many viewers find themselves hesitating at the threshold, struggling to venture beyond what meets the eye. Art experts and critics often attempt to decipher the hidden meanings within each brushstroke, yet their interpretations can diverge widely, leaving the average viewer fixated on the surface, locked into a mindset of ‘What you see is what you get.’
My latest artwork is a departure from my previous works. It’s an unfolding narrative, akin to the pages of a captivating story. Through the interplay of shifting light and emerging colors, it gradually unveils hidden dimensions. The painting reveals itself over the course of the day as the light changes from day to night, and new colors emerge.
As a viewer, you’re not merely an observer; you’re a participant encouraged to look deeper than the initial impression. The introduction of UV intensifies this experience, leading to a crescendo that defies comparison.
